Join the Town of Gardnerville, along with Main Street Gardnerville and the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce, for a ribbon cutting ceremony of Gardnerville Station on December 17th at 4:30 p.m. Help celebrate the newly refurbished gas station that was deeded to the Town of Gardnerville by the Douglas County Board of Commissioners in 2013. It has been five years and with the help of NDEP (Brownfields & Petroleum Fund), Community Development Block Grant and Douglas County, the renovation phase of the building has been completed and the town looks forward to more site improvements in the near future.
The images coming from Paradise and the other comunities destroyed by the Camp Fire are staggering. Local businesses, notably Cocomos and Grocery Outlet and other organizations are stepping up to help however possible. Here is a recap of where and how you can help.
Heads up drivers:
Both directions of I-580/U.S. 395 will be closed from Carson City to Reno from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 17 and Nov. 18 for major utility line repairs.
Drivers are asked to plan to travel the interstate well before or after the closure times on these dates, or to utilize other state highways.

The Town of Gardnerville is currently out with our 5th annual customer service survey. Your responses will help staff evaluate the service the town provides and help to make adjustments to better serve you. The Town Health & Sanitation Department is offering a free year of trash service to one single family home customer in Gardnerville who completes the survey (a $232 value). To be eligible to win you must be a current customer of Gardnerville Health & Sanitation and you must provide your name, address, phone number and your email address (if you have one) on the survey form.
The Town of Gardnerville offers our residential customers extra trash pickup on October 24/25. Extra trash may be put out on your regular trash day. Keep extra bags or boxes at least three feet from trash cans. No large items (appliances, furniture, etc) or hazardous waste (tires, batteries, paint, etc.
The Town of Gardnerville offers our customers 3 more days of extra greenwaste pickups on 10/23, 11/6 and 11/20. (Greenwaste is what you rake & mow in your yard). Please come into the office to get free orange bags for your extra greenwaste.
Office hours are 8-12 pm & 1-5 pm.
